A fine and intricately detailed French ormolu mounted bracket clock with tortoiseshell and inlaid boulle work. The dial with Roman numerals above a central gilt bronze Helios with his horse-drawn chariot. Each corner of the clock supported with acanthus leaf feet upon horses. The upper portion supported by Atlas and Caryatid figures. Surmounted with a female goddess in armour, probably Athena. French, late 19th C.
