白玉质，圆雕，局部沁色，衣饰线条流畅，呈飞翔状，衣带飘然，体态优美，令人百看不厌。 玉飞天是一种在天空中飞行的，地位较低的佛，早期多为男性，在唐代则变为女性。唐代玉飞天多为娇柔妩媚的女子形象。飞天为佛教之神灵，传说天欲作乐时，飞天便自现异相，飞翔于天，手持乐器，翩翩起舞，因而被誉为欢乐吉祥之象征。
