释文: 朱彝尊于《笔筒铭》中言“笔之在案，或侧或颇，犹人之无仪，筒以束之，如客得家，闲彼放心，归于无邪”文人视笔筒为极重要之案上文房器物，需得极其雅致。此笔筒以紫檀锼挖而成，整体作梅花状，平口直壁，腹部光润，器身不假纹饰，尤为雅致，遂为谦谦君子之物。
