金廷标，清代，字士揆，乌程(今浙江湖州)人，一作桐乡人，为当地望族。画家金鸿(字耕山)子，生卒年不详。继承父艺，工画人物、山水、写真、花卉，界画亦精致。尤擅白描，设色淡逸明洁，用线刚劲，转折处锋芒毕露，无不劲健。衣纹提按长描连绵不断，眉目传神。乾隆二十五年(1760)弘历南巡，其进呈白描罗汉》册称旨，得入内廷供奉。所画不以工致取胜，而以机趣为尚。入值数载，卒于京寓。其卒后，所作皆得高宗题咏，并命装裱收藏，此举可见这位内廷供奉画家受乾隆之器重程度。
