A JIAN ‘HARE’S FUR’ GLAZED TEA BOWL, SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTYChina, 1127-1279. The well-potted bowl is covered inside and out with a thick, finely crackled, black glaze heavily streaked with russet ‘hare’s fur’ markings stopping irregularly above the foot, exposing the brown body.Provenance: Göteborgs Auktionsverk, Sweden, 26 November 1997, lot 228. Collection of Sören Ström, acquired from the above and thence by descent in the family. A copy of the signed invoice from Göteborgs Auktionsverk, dated 26 November 1997 and addressed to Sören Ström, apanies this lot.
