The dishes finely painted in polychrome enamels and iron-red with a central medallion depicting a palace scene with scholars and court ladies, framed by bands of diaper patterns, separated by cartouches enclosing birds on branches, and with gilt rims. The exterior and foot decorated with floral spray.
