Description Painting in the Style of Georges Braque (French, 1882-1963). Oil on canvas painting depicting a cubist composition. Signed G. Braque along the verso and dated illegibly. Similar in style to Braque's famous "Still Life with Mandola and Metronome" (1909) in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Braque was a major contributor to the development of Cubism and painted in tandem with Pablo Picasso and Fernand Leger.Provenance: Estate of William Doherty Smith, Daytona Beach, Florida; Private Minnesota Collection.Condition Report The item is in good condition with no visible tears, creases, or restoration under UV light. The surface is stable, and the color is bold and bright.
