Description Group of three cases including: one sterling silver oval case, marked "Sterling 925" with a composite JF along one edge; one rectangular German cigarette case, marked 800 silver with a German assay mark and an illegibly maker mark; one English enamel round box with a hinged lid, decorated with a hand-painted scene of a couple next to a window surrounded by gilt decoration.Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Condition Report The silver cases are in good condition with no visible dents or losses, or major cracks. All cases open and close smoothly. No visible sign of restoration when inspected under UV light. Light wear throughout. Light oxidation and discoloration to metal components as expected. The enamel box is in fair condition and has several inner cracks throughout, most noticeably to the underside; however, please note that since these are inner cracks, the exterior surface is smooth. Dust collected along the interior. There is an area with cracks, possibly restored, to the left top of the lid; to the left of the area, there is a minute loss to red enamel.Please contact us for a detailed condition report.
