She soon developed her own unique practice, taking molds of plant forms and then reworking them before applying them to a pre-thrown porcelain vessel until the underlying surface is completely hidden. Now based in London, Hosono's transnational creativity has earned her a worldwide audience. One of her largest works, which took six months to finish, is in the British Museum.
