黄幻吾(1906.9-1985.7)，名罕，字幻吾，号罕僧，晚年称罕翁。，中学毕业后从事印刷及广告美术工作，业余潜心研习书画，获岭南画派高剑父、高奇峰教益，画艺日趋成熟。黄幻吾的绘画被评论为：「精研国画，善绘山水、人物、花卉、鱼虫、鸟兽，尤以花鸟画、山水画功夫独到，刻划真切动人、栩栩如生」，他的作品确实富有新意，能把水墨、彩色熔铸一炉，做到情调美、色彩美、构图美、形象美。
