Southern Dynasty period,5th or 6th century. Height: 15 1/2 in (39.4 cm) Width: 13 in (33.0 cm) The Southern and Northern Dynasties (420 AD - 589 AD) period is an important period in the history of Chinese ceramics development. It was during this period that Chinese ceramic craftsmen constantly changed the glaze formula,finally achieving a mature period of celadon glaze firing.
