A hulu-shaped ceramic vase, glazed in earthy tones with an elegant two-tone crackle glaze. The glaze leaves the lower rim free, revealing the paste colour, and is lighter on the upper part. It is in very good condition.It is moulded in a simple form that the Song potters were inspired by a gourd and its significance. This model became widespread as a benchmark in later times and has seen variations.
