SMALL PERSIAN TEAPOT / MOCHA POT / BACHELOR POT, probably 20th century, Iran, silver (acid tested), 464 grams; marked with uninterpreted script and inscribed "MADE IN PERSIA". Small pear-shaped jug on four curved feet; domed lid with plastic knob. Curved spout, handle with horn plates??(partially torn). Jug with engraved and raised figural and floral decoration: wall with 2 cartouches in leaf form, on them a resting and drinking man and a woman resting on a cushion. Leaves surrounded by different animals in a landscape, among others a hunting lion with prey, a hare and a crane. Blossoms and leaf decoration as a motif filling the entire surface. Jh., Iran, Silber (Säure getestet), 464 Gramm; gemarkt mit ungedeutetem Schriftzeichen und bezeichnet "MADE IN PERSIA". Kleine birnenförmige Kanne auf vier geschweiften Füßen; aufgewölbter Deckel mit plastischem Knauf. Geschweifter Ausguss, Handhabe wohl mit Hornplatten (partiell eingerissen). Kanne mit graviertem und erhabenem figürlichem und floralem Dekor: Wandung mit 2 Kartuschen in Blattform, darauf ein rastender und trinkender Mann sowie eine auf einem Kissen ruhende Frau. Blätter umgeben von unterschiedlichen Tieren in einer Landschaft u.a. jagender Löwe mit Beute, Hase, Kranich. Blüten und Blattdekor als flächenfüllendes Motiv. H. 14 x L. 17 x B. 10 cm.
