笔筒口底相若，直壁，平底。里施白釉，外壁通体施乌金釉，釉面光亮滋润，质地细腻，釉面净亮如镜。外底施白釉，中间有一周玉璧形涩圈。为康熙时期典型的文房用品。 乌金釉是高温釉，较之其他单色釉瓷器的清馨淡雅，乌金釉瓷器深沉似水，凝重华贵，自有气势，也比较名贵，光润透亮、色黑如漆，带有凝重感。
