Launched in 2006, the RM010 represents these phenomenal qualities and acted as a successor of the RM005, in favour of a larger case size to better suit the market taste at the time. According to Richard Mille’s vision, the RM010 would embody the best qualities of a non-tourbillon wristwatch, having the time and date functions only, yet powered by an ingenious calibre RMAS7. Even to this day, the construction of the RMAS7 is an incredible feat. Its baseplate and bridges are crafted in Grade 5 titanium, extremely resistant to corrosion and wear, this material is frequently used in aerospace and is very difficult to mill.
