A SMALL ARCHAISTIC CELADON JADE VASE AND COVERChina, 20th century. Finely crafted in the style of the Han Dynasty, featuring a high level of craftsmanship quality, all executed in manual carving. The cylindrical vessel supported on a circular foot flanked by a pair of phoenixes with scrolling wings, the body is carved with four stylized elephant handles suspending loose rings, above minute interlinked spirals and below taotie masks, the arched cover is surrounded by a crenellated border and surmounted by a square loop handle with a loose ring. The semi-translucent stone of a celadon tone with minor surface alterations.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, fissures, and minuscule nibbling here and there. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent. Acquired in the Hong Kong antiques market in the early 1990s.Weight: 132 g Dimensions: Height 12 cm
