A PAIR OF CHINESE CLOISONNÉ 'DUCK' INCENSE BURNERS AND COVERS Qing Dynasty, late 19th / early 20th Century 清十九世紀晚期或二十世紀早期 銅胎掐絲琺瑯鴨形熏爐一對 Each incense burner modelled as a duck standing on one leg with the other raised, with slender curved neck and open beak, decorated with polychrome plumage and ruffled feathers on a white enamel ground, the ducks stood atop lotus bases decorated with large flowering chrysanthemums and bulging petal lappets, 32.5cm high (4) c.f. A comparable pair of incense burners shaped as ducks were sold at Christie's South Kensington, 19th April 2011, lot 325.
