A LARGE CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE 'LADIES' DISH SIX CHARACTER KANGXI MARK OF THE PERIOD 1662-1722 The centre painted with two ladies and their attendants admiring flowers, flanked by flowering prunus trees and rocks, the border with smaller panels of ladies and flowers and with a standing elephant, the reverse with a paper label reading 'The elephant is the crest of the Fremlin family - one member of this family was a director of the East India Company - The Snail Race', 40.5cm. Provenance: from an English private collection, West Yorkshire, formed in the 1970s and 1980s.
