Description: An impressive Chinese carved carnelian agate vase
cover with wood stand. The vase very skillfully carved in very high relief with female Immortals and attendant as well as an ox and birds all amidst clouds. The various shades of the stone well worked into the design. Hollow interior and deeply recessed base as well as lid. The fitted wooden stand meticulously carved with peonies amongst rocks and probably contemporary.
