Description: A very attractive Chinese greyish white nephrite jade snuff bottle of rectangular form embellished with a framework of gilt silver wirework with turquoise and coral cabochons. With flattened raised foot rim, well hollowed.

Size: 2 3/8", 6 cm.

Provenance: From a Montreal collector

Condition Report: Gilt silver mounted snuff bottle. The stopper is likely not original and appears modern. The jade underneath the mounting has natural fissure and inclusion. The Foot rim has 2 flea bit chips approx. 1mm in width. There is wear to the silver gilding. No loose elements in the silver. All the silver appears tightly affixed in place. The jade neck and mouth is visible underneath the silver at top. Upon examination with a flash light, there does not appear to be any damage underneath the silver. The bottle quite well hollowed with some residue and dirt in the interior. The Spoon made of wood. PLEASE REQUEST ADDITIONAL PHOTOS OR A CONDITION REPORT AS NEEDED.
