Description: A whimsical large Chinese carved bamboo figural group depicting the famous monk Xuanzang, hero of the novel Journey to the West, astride a horse, with his attendants Sun Wukong, the Monkey King and Piggy. Sensitively carved with fine details and aesthetic restraint.
Size: 11", 28 cm.
