Description: A Chinese molded gourd cricket cage box decorated with two
horses in a landscape. Hardwood cover with lotus seed pod form lid.
Interior brass wire-work cricket restrainer.
Size: 5", 12.7cm
Provenance: From a private New York home
Condition Report: A Chinese gourd cricket cage, Appears to be in good
condition, the gourd portion appears to have had some separation and
cracks which may have been restored (photos will be provided) and it is
highly likely that the wood additions at the top of the gourd have been
replaced. The cap has some damage on the interior rim with a loss of
approximately 1cm to the wood, normal wear to the surface commensurate
with age.
