WU ZI (1755-1821)Calligraphy in Running ScriptInk on paper, fan leafInscribed and signed Yi'an Wu Zi, with a dedication and one artist's sealDated renshen (1812)18 x 52.5cm (7⅛ x 20⅝in)For further information on this lot please visit theProvenance: 吳鼒 行書論畫 水墨紙本 扇面 一八一二年作款識:仁廟時烏目山人、白雲外史仝以六法擅長,然惲自以所作山水不如石谷,當讓渠獨步,遂絕不作山水,專寫花卉。其實南田山水取法北苑,兼得倪迂之筆,空靈清妙,足以成家,非石谷所能掩也。此扇用墨全守家,巖谷樹石,有不取諸鄰,自在流出之妙。壬申(1812)四月,小集西園,承芝樵先生見示,因跋其背。抑庵鼒並書。鈐印:吳鼒註:吳鼒,字及之、山尊,號抑庵、南禺山樵、達園。安徽全椒人。嘉慶四年(1799)進士,選庶吉士,官侍講學士。參與編修《八旗詩》、《高宗實錄》。工書畫,花卉筆意清新,近陳淳,山水學王原祁。吳氏亦好收藏、揣摩宋元古籍珍本,並親自校勘影印。著《夕葵書屋集》等。
