Chinese, Qing dynasty, Jiaqing Period, a rare famille rose tripod censer, ofpressed globular body weeping up to a waisted neck and a galleried rim, the sides flanked by a pair of pierced,upright curved handles. Enamelled with the Eight Buddist Emblems surrounded by lotus blossoms against a ruby-red ground, with a Jiaqing mark to the a key-border encircling the rim, having a zitan wood cover with jade decoration.H. 27.3 cm (10 3/4 in.)Provenance: From a Hong Kong family's private collection, immigrated to Canada in the 20th century.
