DescriptionVery large and magnificent Chinese carved spinach jade elephant; the remarkably carved spinach jade with brighter green ribboning against a paler ground throughout the body, formed from an enormous river boulder, the standing elephant with detailed wrinkled skin and ears with it's head down and trunk curved to one side of it's body, the trunk forming into a ruyi, the tail appearing to flap at it's back to one side, standing forcefully and facing forward the twisted wrinkled trunk sweeping between the pointed tusks towards the right, each ear veined in relief, the legs dimpled with heavy naturalist above the toes curling at the feet; accompanied with a customer very elaborate bronze base.
