The plate of shallow and wide form, with a stunning arabesque encircling the central roundel, features a seated figure. Fifteen egg-shaped recesses surround the central field, each adorned with gilded silver and gold figures performing various tasks. The plate rests on stunning support, which is formed of a broad tubular stem and a flared foot. Both elements are covered with magnificent depictions of more figures, as well as floral and vegetal patterns that add a touch of elegance and sophistication to this exquisite piece. Objects like these were used to host lavish banquets, where the intricate and detailed decorations on the table were admired and appreciated by guests.
