A LOT WITH THREE CENTRAL ASIAN GLAZED CERAMIC BOWLSCentral Asian region, c. 1000 years old. Each rising from a short straight foot to a deep rounded body. The smallest covered with a dark green glaze stopping irregularly above the lower body, the larger painted in brown to the interior with an ornamental design, the last bowl covered in a turquoise-green glaze stopping below the rim. Condition: With old wear and firing flaws, some fritting to rims, erosion, and encrustations. The larger bowl with repaired breakages. Overall good condition consistent with age. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Dr. István Zelnik, President of the Hungarian South and Southeast Asian Research Institute, is a former high-ranking Hungarian diplomat who spent several decades in Southeast Asia, building the largest known private collection of Asian art in Europe.
