A LOT WITH TWO SINO-SIBERIAN BRONZE ORNAMENTS WITH ANIMALSCentral Asia, c. 5th-2nd Century BC. Both cast in openwork as horses, one standing foursquare and the other in a prancing position and having the mane forming loops. Each fitted with a turquoise. Condition: Very good condition commensurate with age. Extensive wear, small nicks, and natural patina overall with extensive malachite encrustations. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Dr. István Zelnik, President of the Hungarian South and Southeast Asian Research Institute, is a former high-ranking Hungarian diplomat who spent several decades in Southeast Asia, building the largest known private collection of Asian art in Europe.
