款识：『大明崇祯壬午年畴制』九字楷书款
说明：此盘作日月形，以精铜打造，包浆醇厚，皮壳呈栗色，历史气息浓郁。盘底减地阳文内书“大明崇祯壬午年畴制”九字单行楷书款。此种盘或为焚香之器。香盘出现缘起佛教东渐，肇始于唐，流行于宋，初作礼佛之用，尔后，在朝则为宫廷仪仗器用，在野则为文士书斋雅玩。明末以降，香席雅事由盛转衰，相关器物多见铜炉存世，香盘之存世者并不多见。
