|明末高濂于其所著《燕闲清赏笺．论古玉器》中记载：“黄为中色，且不易得，以白为偏色，时亦有之，故而今人贱黄而贵白，以见少也”。再者，黄色历来为皇家独尊，清代宫廷对于黄色的推崇，更是将黄玉的地位推至顶峰。此佩即以上乘和田黄玉琢制，色如蒸栗，细腻莹润。整体为环状，浮雕一螭龙攀沿其上，龙身盘曲，圆润饱满，刀工简洁流畅，器表与镂空处皆打磨细致，堪为精工佳品。螭龙纹饰为汉代开始流行的一种纹样。宋以后有仿制，明清承袭古制，也多有制作。
