此件作品以陈鸣远“佳意”壶为原型，摹古仿制之。采用精选调配而成砂泥为胎，经过窑烧达到冷黄金的效果，包浆莹润，宝光流动。由于原型砂料的特殊性，因此要达到如出一辙的效果其实并不容易，这要求制作者严格控制各项比例，以及窑温的控制。以杨桃为形，圆中蕴方，有筋有骨，以三棱六瓣分割半圆壶身。棱线清晰，由阴阳二线交互组成，阴线于坯体半湿半干时以细竹棒压印而出，阳线则以细泥堆塑理出。形象生动的棱线，节序有致的瓜瓣。体现作者的匠心独运，宜赏宜用。
