本品为荸荠瓶形，器型硕大，敦厚庄严，胎质厚重，釉面莹亮，通体施郎红釉，釉色莹亮，玻璃质感强烈，并有如苍蝇翅状开片，呈典型郎窑红特征，郎窑红复烧与康熙年间，在督窑官朗廷极监造下烧制成功，成器釉面光洁透亮，有玻璃质感，开片并有牛毛纹，釉色“明如镜，润如玉，赤如血”莹澈浓艳，光彩夺目。
