本品为四方形笔筒，器型周正，方平竖直，胎质坚白，釉面润泽，以青花加彩技法装饰，四面开窗以卷草纹为廓，两开窗内繪折枝牡丹花卉纹饰，另两面配以诗文一首为杜甫：《赠花卿》：
锦城丝管日纷纷，半入江风半入云。此曲只应天上有，人间能有几回闻。另一首为唐常见：《送宇文六》：花映垂杨汉水清，微风林里一枝轻，即今江北还如此，愁杀江南离别情。整器诗画并茂，文气十足，极富文化价值及收藏价值。
