The archaic jade carved pendant is of flattened chicken-heart form, hollow on the center and sides mounted with stylized mythical beasts curled towards one side, body incised with archaic patterns, the jade is of celadon-white and russet color tones.|Western Han Dynasty period.||Height: 4 1/2 in (11.4 cm)|西漢 玉雞心佩 （長）|雞心佩，是韘形佩的俗稱。韘形佩是從玉韘演變而來。多作橢圓形，上端出尖，中有一圓孔，近似於盾牌或雞心的形狀。器體較扁薄，下麵微鼓，背面略凹，兩側常透雕有龍、鳳、螭等裝飾，是漢代特有的並常見的一種佩飾。
