汪昉，字叔明，号菽民，又号啜菽老人。阳湖（今属江苏苏州）人。道光举人，官山东莱州府同知。工画山水，法宗四王。初游汤贻汾幕中，与赵兰舟、费丹旭朝夕论画。其作品笔意松秀，墨法淹润，不失元人矩矱。中年所作，丘壑浑成，树石苍润，颇臻妙境，但晚年画风趋向颓唐，缺乏生气。书法精鉴赏，善分、隶书，仿临赵孟頫，姿态秀逸。能诗，有《梦衲盦集》。
