A George V silver inkstand, London, 1939, Carrington & Co., of shaped oblong form, with two silver mounted glass inkwells, on bracket supports, 7cm high, 25.2cm wide, 16.9cm deep, weighable silver approx. 23.8oz Provenance: The Collection of Lord and Lady WeinstockCondition Report: In overall good condition, with no dents or nicks visible. Some scratches to the surface, due to use. Minor scratches to the underside and minor nicks to the four feet, due to use. Some tarnishing to the edges. The two glass inkwells in very good condition, with no breaks or chips. The lids of the inkwells with minor scratches to the interior, due to use. The lids sit flash on the inkwells and can be removed and put back with ease. Marks clearly stamped to the underside of the stand. Marks to the base of the inkwells visible. Marks on the lids of the inkwells slightly rubbed off but still visible.
