A French brass carriage clock, late 19th century, the corniche case with bevelled glass panels and swing handle, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel moon hands, the backplate stamped PATENT S J RETY POLLER, the twin train movement striking a gong, 14.5cm high (handled not extended), 9.5cm wide, 8.3cm deepPlease note that Roseberys do not guarantee the working order or time keeping of any timepiece. Condition Report: The case with some wear to include tarnishing, scratches and pitting. The reverse door is slightly stiff and handle has been re-attached. Scratching and restorer's incised marks to underside. Some scratching to glass panels. Very minor chips to corners of glass panels. The dial with minor knock to lower part of the bezel, some very minor marks to dial, and small hairline to lower right. The backplate with some tarnishing and scratches, previous signs of some repair, some tarnishing to platform escapement. The beater to has degraded from possible water damage, and therefore clock strikes dully when repeating. Some tarnishing and minor rusting to gong. No key. Currently ticking when wound, but Roseberys cannot guarantee working order of this or any timepiece offered for sale.
