An inlaid mahogany longcase clock, second quarter 19th century, the brass mounted broken swan neck pediment above twin fluted columns, on trunk with canted corners and line inlaid door, on plinth base with bracket feet, the painted break arch dial signed Rich'd Alexander, Chippenham, with Roman numerals, seconds subsidiary dial, date aperture, and painted floral spray spandrels, the arch with painted moon phase dial with Arabic numerals above, the twin train eight day movement with four knopped columns, striking a bell on the hour, the false plate stamped S.
