A YELLOW JADE CARVING OF A BASKET WITH MOVABLE HANDLE, CHINA, 18TH CENTURY
Carved as a woven basket, neatly incised with cross-hatched and rope-twist designs, the rim set with a pair of cloud-form rings connected with a 'U'-shaped moving handle. The semi-translucent stone of a fine yellow tone with icy inclusions.


Provenance
: From an old private collection in New England, USA, acquired during the 1940s and 1950s, and thence by descent to the last owner.

Condition
: Very good condition with minor wear and few tiny nicks.

十八世紀玉雕花籃


玉雕編織竹籃，刻劃工整，線條清晰，有交叉紋和捻繩紋，邊緣鑲有一對雲形環，與“U”形活動手柄相連。 半透明的玉石，呈細膩的淡黃色，内有絮狀物。


來源：
來自美國新英格蘭的一個私人舊藏，於二十世紀四十年代和五十年代之間購得，傳承至現在最後一位所有者。
