A SPINACH-GREEN JADE COSMETICS BOX AND COVER, 18TH CENTURY
China, 18th century. The gently rounded sides of the cushion-formed box rising from a thick foot with a recessed base. The domed cover with a stylized lotus blossom born on a leafy stem in low relief, above two central bands of key-fret as well as a lappet band above the foot. The translucent stone of a deep spinach-green tone with black specks and icy veins.


Provenance:
English trade, acquired from an old private estate. By repute previously at Christie’s, 15 July 1981, lot 277. The base with an old label, ‘277. 15/7/81.’

Condition:
Good condition with minor wear, minimal nibbling, the stone with natural fissures, some of which have developed into small hairline cracks over time.

十八世紀菠菜綠玉蓮紋粉盒

中國，十八世紀。盒蓋呈正圓形，與盒身子母口緊密相合；平底，內圈足，內壁平滑。素淨雅致，盒蓋淺浮雕蓮花，線條簡潔明快；盒子外壁雕蓮花瓣紋，整體造型沉穩端莊。深菠菜綠色調的半透明玉料，帶有黑色斑點和紋理。


來源：
英國古玩交易，購於一個私人老收藏；據説之前來自佳士得，1981年7月15日，lot 277，底座有一個老標籤，可見 ‘277. 15/7/81.’字樣。

品相：
狀況良好，輕微磨損和磕損，石料有天然紋理，其中一些隨著時間的推移已發展成細小裂縫。
