AN UNFINISHED CHESTNUT-GROUND EMBROIDERED ‘DRAGON’ LADY’S ROBE, JIFU, QING DYNASTY
China, 19th century. The rich brown ground finely worked on the front and back with eight five-clawed dragons couched in gold-wrapped threads in pursuit of flaming pearls, amidst multi-colored ruyi-scepter shaped clouds, colorful bats, and auspicious symbols, all on a stylized wan diapered background. The hem with foaming and crashing waves above the lishui band churning sacred objects. Altered into an unfinished coat with a collar, sleeve extensions, and snap fasteners, the embroidered trim absent.

: Very good condition with minor wear, and a few loose threads.

清代褐色地百福龍紋女式吉服

中國，十九世紀。 正面和背面均以褐色地，金綫銀綫精美地綉八條五爪龍盤纏，周圍環繞著如意祥雲、彩蝠等吉祥符號，下方是麗水江崖紋。經過拆卸，領子和袖子延伸部分沒有刺繡。
