安徽太湖附近秋操纪念杯清光绪三十一年至三十四年，共举行过三次秋季大型军事演习，由此杯落款“大清光绪三十四年安徽太湖附近秋操纪念”可知，其为“彰德秋操”所制纪念杯。造型仿生莲花样式，莲瓣为器身，莲梗为柄，莲梗内空，从梗茎端直通杯内，可以吸水，故又名吸杯，其造型源自康熙时期，构思巧妙，不胜清雅，故宫博物院亦有相类藏品可兹比较。
