李義弘，字在川，1941年生於台南縣西港鄉，是當前於藝壇、市場上活躍與備受推崇水墨畫家。書法對李義弘的影響是比較晚。從藝專畢業後，他畫外之功對於書法的領略，應該都是參照江老師所指導的去體悟。基隆時期雖然偶作對聯，對他而言，寫書法可能是一種繪畫基本功與筆墨鍛練線條，他曾有過一些興筆揮運的臨習，但筆意間已經很明顯有著對線質的掌握，與他自己山水畫勾皴間跌宕有致的線條一致。
