造形独特，内外施白釉，釉水滋润，器身上以胭脂红彩绘八吉祥纹。即轮、螺、伞、幢、 花、罐、鱼、肠。纹饰绘画笔法细腻流畅，线条婉转灵动，图案布局缜密，华美艳丽。其胭脂 红一色填涂均匀明快，精工细料，富有立体感，富丽堂皇。底部落“睿邸退思堂制”款。唐英 在《陶成记事碑》中称之为“西洋紫色”，烧制不易，提纯困难，颇为名贵，《陶雅》谓之“华 贵中之佚丽者也釉质匀净明艳，殆亡伦比。紫晶逊其鲜妍，玫瑰无其娇丽”。
