|来源：台湾藏家重要收藏||红山文化距今约 6500~5000年，红山文化玉器主要为红山文化晚期，距今约5500~5000年，主要分布于内蒙古东南部、辽宁西部、河北北部地区。蚕蛹是红山文化的典型装饰用器，此件玉蚕玉质黄白色有墨色斑纹，绺裂入红色沁。头部平圆，凸起一双圆眼。背部面微凹弯，以三道凸弦纹以示蚕体分节，尾端成尖圆状。腹部光素无纹，腹身两侧有一对穿圆孔，内视可见旋转钻孔留下的螺旋纹路。
