BEEINDRUCKEND GROßER TETSUBIN. Japan. Meiji-Zeit. Gusseisen, Deckel aus Kupferlegierung, Henkel mit Silber- und Goldtauschierung. Zylindrisch mit kurzer Tülle. Der Rand des Kessels ist felsartig zerklüftet und erinnert an eine Gebirgskette. Auf einem umlaufenden Band ist in flachem Relief Daikoku (Okuninushi-no-kami) auf einem Pferd reitend in Begleitung von zwei Dienern vor einem Kiefernwald dargestellt. Hinter den Kiefern erhebt sich der Fuji-san. Auf der anderen Seite ein Gedicht in shôsho-Kursivschrift. Höhe 16cm, Ø 21cm. Sign. auf dem Kessel: Kotobuki und Siegel. Cast iron, lid from copper alloy, handle with silver and gold inlay. Round shape with short spout. The rim of the kettle is rugged like rocks and depicts a mountain chain. On a revolving band in flat relief Daikoku (Okuninushi-no-kami) riding on a horse accompanied by two attendants in front of pine trees. Behind the pine trees the Fuji-san rises. On the other side a poem in cursive script (sôsho). Height 16cm, Ø 21cm. Sign. on the kettle: Kotobuki and seal. On the inside of the lid: Ryobundo tsukuri.
