An der flachen Küste bringen einige Fischer ihre Boote zu Wasser. Der rötliche Himmel und die ruhige See zeugen von morgendlicher Stille, bevor die Fischer ihrer Arbeit nachgehen. In gewohnter Manier des Malers steht hier die charakteristische Landschaft Japans im Fokus, in die sich der Mensch natürlich einfügt. Die sanften Braun-, Blau- und Grüntöne sowie die teils fließenden Farbübergänge unterstreichen die Ruhe und Nostlagie, die das Motiv vermittelt. Sign.: Gyokudô (auf der Malerei).
