|玉质温婉细腻，宛若羊脂，油性极佳，打磨圆润，局部受沁，亦带有些许灰皮，内圈镶金托，古意盎然。两端口径大小不一，说明其制作年代较早。扳指在古代叫韘。汉代许慎《说文解字》『射决也，所以钩弦，以象骨韦，系着右巨指』。但随着弓箭在战场上的作用越来越小，韘的实用功能变得越来越弱，装饰功能逐渐增强，因而出现了众多制作精美的扳指。此件扳指玉质上乘，工艺精湛，净素无纹，取其质地之美，亦有金玉结合之妙趣，典雅精巧。
