Finely potted with deep rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a flared rim, the exterior painted in bold cobalt-blue tones depicting a striding dragon chasing a phoenix amid flaming clouds, all above overlapping lappets around the foot, the interior similarly decorated with a central medallion enclosing a dragon and phoenix, all encircled by double line borders, covered overall with an unctuous glaze, the base inscribed with a six-character mark in underglaze-blue within a double circle, the rim mounted in gilt metal band, 7.3 inch diameter.
