Potted with a high-shouldered tapered body surmounted by a short waisted neck with a flared rim, the body carved in deep relief with the Buddhist 'Four Great Heavenly Kings' guardian figures, all between a pair incised phoenix on the shoulder and a lotus-lappet band encircle the foot, the exterior covered with a heavily mottled purplish-blue glaze suffused with snowflake speckles, the guardian figures covered in a dark brown glaze, the unglazed base with a calligraphic inscription written in black, 17.8 inch high.
